Christopher La' Mont Foster was born in Jonesboro, LA February 26, 1979. He became interested in music at the age of 9. Christopher excelled as a basketball player for Grambling High School. Upon graduation from high school, he enlisted in the United States Army. After completeing his term , he returned home to Ruston, LA. He used his enlistment bonus to purchase music equipment.
Christopher signed a deal with a local label, Tipitoe Records. His group DA TRIGGA released its first record, ARMAGEDDON within the same year. It was a regional success, which earned him national attention. New York based label, SILVA DOM RECORDS, signed him to a production deal in 1999. He then moved to New York to produce a record for a group called, "THE CERTIFIED HUSTLERS". Over the next few years he was featured in national magazines which included "XXL", "BILLBOARD", "MURDER DOG" and "KING". Afterwards Christopher created KAJUN SEASON ENTERTAINMENT which is now known as HBMG and CL HITS.
Christopher transitioned from Rap to Blues/Southern Soul after he was instrumental in the development os Southern Soul Artist, UNCLE WAYNE. He was behind the scenes managing, hosting, promoting and producing for approximately 8 years. After the death of his Grandmother, Christopher decided to start recording blues and southern soul songs to sell to artists. However, a friend persuaded him to release the songs himself and hence the birth of Christopher La' Mont, Southern Souls Artist! He has performed on shows with several well known artists.
Some of Christopher's awards and accolades are: being awardedthe key to the City of Ruston, LA, appearing on #1 TLC MEMPHIS WOMEN OF POlICE, former DJ at PSC, and graduating from John Casablanca Acting and Modeling Agency in Memphis, TN, and has received several nominations for several Southern Soul Music Awards.
